With all the cool, new packaging these days, knowing what’s actually recyclable can feel confusing. To make sure you're recycling the right things, get back to basics!
Items accepted in your Curb It! cart include:
- Newspapers
- Junk mail
- Cardboard
- Cartons
- Plastic bottles with twist-off lids
- Pop cans
- Soup cans
- Glass bottles and jars
Just be sure to give your bottles, cans, and jars a good rinse first! Once it’s empty and clean, you can throw it in the green.
What's Not Accepted?
While many items are recyclable through the Curb It! program, not everything can be tossed in your cart. Common “oops!” items that get a thumbs down from your Curb It! cart are:
- Coffee cups
- Batteries
- Bagged recyclables
- Clothing
- Packaging material
