Garden vegetation as well as plants or flowers from your garden are accepted in the Compost It! program and can be placed in your yard waste bags or cart.
What is Garden Vegetation?
Garden vegetation anything that came directly from your garden, like a tomato that went bad on the vine. Anything that was purchased at the grocery store is not permitted in the Compost It! program. Even if your garden vegetation has made it's way into your kitchen, we still ask you keep it out of the Compost It! program and dispose of it in your garbage instead.
