What's An Eco Advocate?
Eco Advocates are ambassadors for all the things Metro Waste Authority is passionate about, from recycling and garbage to environmental stewardship.
Equipped with seasonal content prompts, cool swag, and main character energy, Eco Advocates help Metro Waste Authority create relevant and authentic short-form content in their homes, schools, and communities.
Our ambassadors can be individuals, families, or community groups passionate about waste and the environment – or even people simply wanting to help settle family debates on what’s recyclable!
Eco Advocate applications are currently closed. Check back for updates on the next round of applications!
What's In It For Me?
- Behind-the-scenes opportunities. Eco Advocates will have access to exclusive tour opportunities where they can get all kinds of neat information and footage, such as what the recycling process looks like, or how exactly appliances are demanufactured.
- Exclusive swag. Through the ambassador program, Eco Advocates receive unique, curated swag for themselves, as well as special items that can be handed out as they generate content.
- Enhanced visibility. Creating content that’s regularly shared to personal social pages as well as Metro Waste Authority’s accounts can increase each Eco Advocate’s visibility and exposure in the community. It also provides a great opportunity to enhance and refine skills related to media creation!
